Nursing Care
Under the close supervision of your family physician, Ballinger Home Health's nursing staff of Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses provide the best possible care for each patient in the areas of assessment and on-going evaluations, injections, blood draws, wound care, colostomy care, I.V. therapy, chemotherapy and much more. Our nurses diligently work to ensure family and patient education with personal instruction and guidance to meet the physical needs and emotional demands of caring for home bound patients.
In-home rehabilitation is available to assist patients with personal care and the normal activities of daily living.
Referral Service
With many years of experience and knowledge, the Ballinger Home Health staff will assist in locating other available community resources that would be of benefit to the patient and family.
Medicare Benefit
CMS promises a continuum of care for all persons enrolled in the Medicare Program. Ballinger Home Health fulfills a critical role in this effort.
Changes in the Medicare payment system places hospitals under increasing pressure to deliver medical care in the shortest possible time frame. Many times a return to full wellness needs to be completed at home. Ballinger Home Health's professional staff of nurses will help you to accomplish this goal and there is no cost to you; home health is fully covered by Medicare.
Our Nurses are dedicated to meeting your medical needs under the direction of your Doctor in the privacy of your home.
These may include monitoring of your physical health, teaching prescription drug regimens, wound care of surgical wounds or skin tears, instruction and treatment of many other medical conditions.
Ballinger Home Health is staffed by Nurses who live in our county and are available 24 hours each day to meet your medical needs.
Our Nurses can be at your home in a relatively short time period versus out of county agencies from San Angelo or Abilene who must drive 40-60 minutes after the receive your call.
